Cyber group RADNET64, with the help of other threat actors, claims to have attacked multiple French airport websites.

French airport websites have recently been targeted by a cyber group known as RADNET64.

The group allegedly received help from Rippersec and Expiravit PMC, and they claim that they successfully executed coordinated Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks on six French airport websites.

The targeted airports include Bordeaux, Toulouse-Blagnac, Biarritz, Pau-Pyrenees, Lille, and Nantes Atlantique.

The attack was initially reported on FalconFeeds' Twitter account (previously known as X), stating that the websites were targeted by DDoS attacks.

A DDoS attack occurs when a website is bombarded with an excessive amount of internet traffic, resulting in a slowdown or complete unavailability for users. RADNET64 posted a message on Telegram, inviting others to join the attack, implying that it was a coordinated effort.

The message also stated that a few of the airport websites being targeted had already been closed.

However, upon visiting some of these websites, they appear to be still accessible and functioning.

This discrepancy might be due to cached versions of the pages being shown to users.

A check using IsItDownRightNow, a service that monitors website uptime, shows that some of the websites were indeed down during the reported time, indicating that the DDoS attack may have been partially successful.

RADNET64 is a cyber group that has been active in recent months. The group is known for focusing on organizations they believe are connected to “Zionist” interests.

They recently gained attention for their attack on the RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a prominent telecommunications company operating under the Ministry of Railways in India.

The reasons behind their targeting of the French airports are still unclear, and they have not publicly stated any specific demands or reasons.

The attack becomes more intricate with the participation of Rippersec and Expiravit PMC.

These groups have a reputation for their hacking skills and have been linked to several cyber attacks in the past.

It appears that they are working together with RADNET64 to intentionally disrupt services at multiple airports at the same time.

Despite RADNET64’s claims, the actual impact of the attacks on the airport websites appears to be limited.

Although a few users may have encountered difficulties accessing the sites, the majority seem to be operating without any problems currently.

The airports have not yet provided official statements regarding the DDoS attacks.
